Heather,

Is it possible that there is a member in one of those logicals which is
scoped incorrectly over the member that needs to be removed? We had a
similar problem once when a junior programmer manually did an ADDLFM to one
of the logicals in AMTLIB while correcting another problem - she let it
default to DTAMBRS(*ALL), and suddenly MAPICS couldn't delete any of the
existing transaction batches.

Hello all.

We use Mapics(XA R4) as our ERP package. I am modifying a program (AM64M)
that writes, among other things, data to our EDI files for 850's (purchase
orders, we are using Harbinger...oops, Peregrine, as our translator).

I get the following error when testing a reprint of a purchase order:
Error: E AM-0923 ERROR OCCURRED WHEN ADDING MEMBER EDIPOSH. This occurred
because the member wasn't removed from the PF ( which is done by another
program). I was originally getting this on all of my EDI files. I deleted
a new logical that was created, and now the error only occurs on 2 files.
When I DSPDBR on those files, the only logicals that I see are the ones
that belong there. However, the low level messages are telling me that a
logical file overlay is causing the member not to be removed.

TIA
