Subject: COM Off-line Automated Shipping

The following Offline Automated Shipping programs will be available before
the End of the Year on Release 6.  We plan to have the details of these
programs documented and available soon.

1.   Create a shipment from an order.  This API allows the user to bypass
the order entry, picking, or shipping screens, and takes the order from
Offline Order Entry to Offline Shipping, marking the invoice as ready to
print.  (NOTE: This is similar to the Release 2 "Auto Ship" function)

2.   Create a shipment for a pick list.  This API allows a user to create a
shipment using an existing pick list.  This API is for customers that do
not require shipment confirmation.

3.   Create Shipment special charges.  This API allows the user to update
pro-rated special charges on the selected shipment(s).  This can used by
Package Tracking (i.e. UPS) systems to send information back to a shipment.

4.   Create a shipment using a pick list.  This API supports controlled
warehouses, allows transactions to update Pick Confirmation records, create
inter-warehouse transactions moving material as picked and staged inventory
from stocking locations to staging locations.  The resulting Shipment in
COM will be marked as complete, but still allow Carrier or Special Charges
information to be updated until it is invoiced.  This API is for customers
that do require a shipment confirmation.

5.   Delete a shipment.  This API allows a user to delete a shipment and
return the items to the original state from which they were called.

Assumptions

   ·  Programs will be provided to edit and update COM Picking, Packing,
   and/or Shipping files.
   ·  There will be no interaction with the user within the programs  (i.e.
   no screens, panels, etc.).
   ·  Request to create shipment by Pick list number assumes pick list has
   previously been created.
   ·  Consolidation will not be supported in the first delivery of Offline
   Pick, Pack, and Ship programs.
   ·  Serial Number entry will not be supported in the first delivery of
Offline Pick, Pack, and Ship programs.
   ·  Maintaining of shipments will not be supported in the first delivery
of Offline Pick, Pack, and Ship programs.
   ·  Confirmation of kit components will not be supported in the first
delivery of Offline Pick, Pack, and Ship programs.
   ·  Addition of shipment comments will not be supported in the first
delivery of Offline Pick, Pack, and Ship programs.
   ·  User exit programs that execute an interactive display will be
changed to a version of the exit program that can be executed in batch
   mode.
