Re: EPDM

Regarding EPDM, I'm not just gonna say something negative
and leave you hanging!

We have an implementation strategy regarding EPDM,
basically were rolling out Browser, then Integrator.

After the dust has settled we will implement PDM+.

After that has been judged successful, we'll trade it
in for EPDM. (maybe)

estimate implementing EPDM in late 2001, early 2002.

Why?

Culture shock & performance.

Need to get user's familiar with browser style before
giving edit/mass change capabilities!!!

There is much power and re-engineering involved
in EPDM, also we may skip EPDM if we decide
the features we're truly looking for are contained in
MAGIK.  I may be premature, but PDM+ and MAGIK
seem like a winning combo.

Also, full credit for PDM+ upgrade to EPDM.

Does anybody have any thoughts on Mapics EPDM?
We are looking to go from PDM at XA 5.5 to EPDM in preparation for Thru-Put
in XA 6 additional.
Basically I'm looking for infomation or experiences regarding...

*          implementation time frames
*          implementation problems
