Yes, we always have to delete the ABENDS for our backup to run. We are at 5.5.
One of the challenges we have are the QUSER that ABENDS from the client server
apps like PDM+.

Subject: Unattended backup

I am getting the message 'Time limit to get dedicated mode not exceeded' in the
joblog of the backup. There does not seem to be anything locking sysctl that
should not be when the backup job starts. Does having abnormally ended
interactive jobs in the 'jobact' file cause the backup not to run? Do I have to
delete those records out of the jobact file before running the backup? This is
happening at release xa5.5. I don't recall having this problem at xa4.

Thanks
Chris
