Yes, I am a little fearful of what the future holds for MAPICS support and
new releases with all the mods we have, and we don't have that many.

We have modified the system to use a reference number for grouping
manufacturing orders. I don't know enough about MAPICS to say how to do this
type of thing otherwise. It is described to me as, "We build to stock, not
to order." I hope to convert to a more vanilla system sometime after we get
converted to MAPICS XA R4. The mods have been the biggest hang up in our
MAPICS II to MAPICS XA R4 conversion (duh, big surprise ;-) ).

We do not use the financials in MAPICS, we use custom developed apps. This
is another thing I would like to change in the future. I think we would have
converted to MAPICS financials if MAPICS were willing to let people use the
system on a trial basis. As it is, MAPICS wouldn't bend, so our people opted
to stick with what we had.

We have: CAS, COM, PMC, EIS, EC, PROC, PDM, PUR, MRP, PCC, MPSP, VWP, PV, &
PDMP.
(Don't you love all those acronyms ;-) )

Maybe people on this list chould include all those acronyms in thier
signatures ;-).
