Additionnaly and maybe related, the 2nd page of the report does not
have the text shifting outside the paper and begins correctly close to
1/2 inch to the top.

I have also noticed that at times, after printer the same report a
couple times, lp5250d seems to be generating an scs file that causes
scs2pdf to report a Floating point exception. The same file however
looks normal with scs2ascii.

I would appreciate any help. I am ready to do some more tests as
required. Thanks a lot !!

Can you tell me what version of tn5250 you are using? Just tell me the
output from running the command `tn5250 -version`. There were some fixes
for issues similar to what you describe in recent versions.

if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on the
design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond when you're
done reading them :)
