Copy/paste/crash. Tried with text based vim, no problem. So it's
something gvim is doing that's causing the problem. No problem with
text copied from gedit either.

I have vim/gvim 7.1.330 and I entered the following three lines of text:

this is just a small testA
and this is another line
and so is this

Then highlighted those lines with the left mouse button and then pasted
into x5250 using the middle mouse button. No crash. We're on the same
versions of tn5250/x5250 so I think we can rule out version discrepancies there.
How are you doing your copy/paste? Middle mouse button or some desktop feature
like control-c or something like that (never did like those keystrokes for
copy/paste personally so I don't know what they are).

I would normally just select with mouse then middle click (emulated by clicking left and right mouse buttons, since the laptop doesn't have a middle mouse button). That did not paste anything at all, so I figured x5250 must be using the real copy clipboard instead of whatever is used for highlighting without copying. I've been using right click then copy instead, followed by "middle click" in x5250.
