Only the Linux terms end up showing in full glorious 5250 colors :-)
Other platforms
are two-tone.

The script:

SERVER=$1
xterm -title "$SERVER" -e "tn5250 env.TERM=IBM-3477-FC $SERVER" &

Any tips?
On those other platforms does colour work in xterm? Does 'ls' give coloured results?
