At 0.16.5 (Win XP pro) I get the same thing if I leave a session
active while the iSeries does an IPL.  More specifically, if I leave
the session active and the subsystem is taken down.  By 'session
active' I mean signed-on.  If I sign off, it drops communications
without an error.
