I wish I could answer your question... :) I think Jay Felice had some
grand scheme for the releases, but I'm not quite sure what they are.

I think that a number of the changes to the 0.17.x branch should be
committed back to the 0.16.x branch, and a new release made from that,
but thats just my opinion :)

At any rate, in the CVS server on sourceforge.net, I've committed a number
of changes to the 0.17 branch so that tn5250 will install keyboard maps,
etc, automatically in FreeBSD.

I'd like to hear from people who have tried it and verify that it's
working properly in everyone's differing enviornments.

(It works fine _for_me_ in FreeBSD 4.2, 4.3, -stable, and RedHat 6.1, 6.2)

To check out from the sourceforge.net CVS server:

cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.tn5250.sourceforge.net:/cvs/tn5250 login
when it asks for a password, just hit enter.
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.tn5250.sourceforge.net:/cvs/tn5250 co tn5250

then you run ./autogen.sh, ./configure, make && make install just like you
did with the lug.net CVS server.

Thanks...
