No such luck :(  It made my underlines like the -u option was in place, home key
had no effect (diddly, nada, nothing) and some function keys like F12 and F24
didn't work anymore.

Come to think of it, though, I can't say for certain that my home key *ever*
worked in X.  It works fine when  I use the console mode.  I think in the 14.x
and earlier, pressing Home caused ESC to appear and an H when I pressed another
key.

Oh, well.  I'm going to ignore it and try not to press home.  I need to work on
other things instead of messing with keys.  Thanks for trying.
