     Not as foreign as you might think.  Most of the AS/400 programmers who 
     actually _use_ service programs took to them with delight, recognising 
     the parallel with shared libraries.  They are quite a young concept in 
     the evolution of the AS/400.  Sadly, only a tiny percentage of AS/400 
     developers actually do use them.
     
     :(
     
     What might confuse a `traditional' AS/400 developer, however, is the 
     400's meaning of a library (*LIB)...
