Hehe, probably not.  Really, this list has been about Linux <=> AS/400 
connectivity, and let's just say that if it gets too big a topic, we'll split
it up into seperate lists.

Michael Madore has done this by retreiving journal files and using them to
sync an Oracle databse server, and also done this with FTP and his as4002unix
utility, which was hacked by myself, with input from Mike, to become asdbget.
I'll have to post it soon.  (Again, when my ISP dries up :)

We do know that FTP transfers appear to be much faster than ODBC/DRDA
transfers.  We also know that certain types of database files refuse to
transfer via FTP - if you populate a field with 'NULL' via an SQL statement,
for example.

I can't really comment on how he's doing the journal file thing... Mike?
