Ladies and Gentlemen:

We seem to have a strange performance issue with a (seemingly) simple BIRT report (3 tables, no charts), running within a Tomcat webapp context, under the /QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk60/32bit JVM.

The SQL queries feeding the report all execute in a fraction of a second, and yet it's taking over 12 seconds to turn the result sets into a web page.

We're running in a subsystem with a 4G private pool, on a box with a 977.1G system ASP. Increasing the heap size for the Tomcat server doesn't seem to have any effect, and neither does doubling the Max Active for the private pool. WRKSYSSTS shows:
-----DB----- ---Non-DB---
Fault Pages Fault Pages
.0 .0 9.1 34.9
for the private pool.

Any insights?
