First of all, which Java you are using? on which system? Is it J9 or
classic JVM ? Anything changed before this issue occur? Java upgrade?
application upgrade or OS upgrade? Or the data handled handled by this
application changed?
Best regards.

Subject: Java 1.6 batch performance issue
Date: Mon, Feb 22, 2016 11:13 PM

We have a batch job that uses Java 1.6 get info from a remote internal
server.
Normally the process takes 1 1/2 hours.
Within the last week, 2 occurrences job took 45 minutes longer.
Other processes were dependent on the timely completion of this info.
Because its Java, joblog does not help.
What tools can be used to troubleshoot/isolate this issue?
Anything in MPG?
We only started this process 1/19 of this year.
The Java process will be replaced later this year when the remote app is
upgraded and allows another interface besides Java.
