We are coding our first Java app.

1) What coding tool do most use?

RDi for everything. It makes it super easy to code & debug both RPG and Java code in the same IDE.

2) Can RDI be used, if so which version/flavor?

Base RDi 9 for me.

3) Where does one store their Java source?

Well, being a change control vendor, we store our Java source in PTC Integrity. Any RPG source changes move along with the changes using Implementer.

4) Any special tools used for Java deployment?

Just ANT to build the deployable JAR file. Since I develop for a package, deployment of the Java code is handled with our installer.

We currently do not use any cm package.
