Perhaps you can double check the spelling of the options. When I try it, I
get a prompt for a keystore password.

Hmm. But the first step in that how-to,
$JAVA_HOME/bin/keytool -genkey -alias tomcat -keyalg RSA in a QSH session
just throws up the helptext for keytool, with no indication of what's wrong.
