Yeah, I usually don't have an issue with the parameters. It's always been the return code. And then I get around that by making one or more bidirectional parameters and I'm good to go. In fact, most of the time these days I have two parameters: a control data structure and a data data structure (not to be redundant about it). In complex environments I might have two data data structures (for header and detail information).
