Gary,

Thanks for your help. This is the approach I have been trying to take to authenticating to the EIM for the lookup. I am currently getting what appears to be an authentication error:

com.ibm.eim.jndi.DomainJNDI:connect: failed to connect to initial directory context. Root exception class=class javax.naming.AuthenticationException.Root exception text=GSSAPI.

The step I have taken:

-Use the windows lsa to get a tgt
-Request a service ticket from the kdc (active directory) for the service that was setup when following the EIM redbook installation instructions.
-Pass this ticket to the eim for authentication

All java documentation I have seen from IBM have a hard coded admin dn and password for lookups but the documentation states this can be performced from any authenticated user.

Again, thanks for your help.
