Thanks Joe,

I did see that link, but I guess I didn't really explain what I was confused
about.

I'm lost on where to implement it. If I implement this in the JDBC
connection class, wouldn't it construct a new one each time I create a new
instance of that class?

I did write a quick example of using the AS400JDBCConnectionPoolDataSource
and AS400JDBCConnectionPool, but I'm not sure how to share the connection
with other classes.

Sorry if this just a basic thing, but I'm still learning it seems everyday
about Java.
