Got it -- I have to use jt400Native,jar rather than jt400.jar.  When I
made this change it worked with no problem.

difference.

Perhaps set the AS400 object to 'mustUseSockets(true)'?

Does the user profile the java process is running as have *USE authority
to the profile you are swapping to?
