Hi
It returns a instanceof java.sql.Connection class,
so i cannot upcaste it to get AS400JDBCConnectionPool,
and hence cannot use getServerJobIdentifier() method

Is there any other way to find out the job
information?
Is this a bug and reported to JT400 bug list or some
thing

The reason i am casting it because i want to use

conn2.getServerJobIdentifier();
which is method in AS400JDBCConnection and not
java.sql.Connection

The AS400JDBCConnectionPool.getConnection() method
doesn't return an
AS400JDBCConnection necessarily ... it returns a
Connection.  It could
theoretically return it's own private inner-class
that implements the
Connection interface.

You could check to see if the returned connection is
an instance of
AS400JDBCConnection and upcast it to get the
information you are looking
for.
