Hi:

I wrote a quick and dirty Java PGM that runs on our iSeries server. The
PGM establishes a connection via VPN to our customers iSeries and watches
a data queue there for entries.

My problem is that, when the connection drops during an IPL, or otherwise,
I have to stop and start the app. I would like for it to be smart enough
to detect a dropped connection and re-establish itself.

And ideas on the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Mike
