That is a fairly broad request. Connecting what running in XP to what on the iSeries?

If you are running a Windows application that is ODBC compliant, there are plenty of ODBC drivers for the database on the iSeries. Client Access (iSeries Access) has one. There are several others. If you are building a Java application that will run on XP but will use iSeries data then there are several JDBC drivers available for you to use.

Googling on JDBC ODBC and iSeries will return many useful links. There is plenty here in the archives here at midrange.com
