RUSER Jt400 problem -- JAVA400-L

Hi,
 
Have you ever experienced a problem where instantiating RUSER it throws a
ResourceException?
 
If the user profile has a Directory Entry, it works.  If I delete the
Directory Entry it fails.
 
It used to work for me then I upgraded JT400 about 10 months ago.  Yes I
know that RUSER is deprecated.  There is not an alternative for what I am
doing in any other class.
 
Anybody know what the problem is?  It happens in Java 1.3 and 1.4 both.
