Okay...  No, the web services right now are doing nothing.  For testing
purposes, I am simply displaying the parameter being passed to the service
within the JBoss console.  No work is being done for the time being.  It
seems to be 400 related.  If I call the web services from my pc, the
response time is very quick for all calls.

The web services, or the web service wrappers? I'm talking about the
actual service you're consuming, the one on the remote machine. What I'm
getting at is does the web service do extra work at session start?
Validate user/license key, setup cache, load an array, etc.
