This is not working either.

        There is got to be a way of doing this.

        The Unicode characters in the stringbuffer such as
('00299........1112') must be able to convert in the sql but it
        doesn't.

        I've also tried creating AS400TEXT object and used toBytes
method to convert from String to AS400TEXT but the sql
        only inserts garbage this time.

        Don't know what else I could try.

        Is it possible to insert or replace AS400TEXT object similar to
stringbuffer.

        I can't see any methods though for AS400Text.

        More help needed.

        regards,

Do you have translate binary=true; on your AS400 JDBC URL?

"jdbc:as400://" + AS400NAME + "; naming=system;translate binary=true;";
