Paul,

I have used the Sysdeo plugin for a few years now so that is what I
know best. I don't know why but the MyEclipse Tomcat launcher says not
to avoid the -D options. With Sysdeo I can add projects to my Tomcat
classpath and I haven't found out how to do that with MyEclipse. Some of
the people I work with like MyEclipse better because you can set up
multiple configurations (this would be easy to do with Sysdeo if Eclipse
let you export preferences at a page level).

Since you don't mention iSeries specific support I would say MyEclipse
is a good fit for your requirements.

David,

Thanks for the feedback. Can you comment on the benefits of Sysdeo's
over
MyEclipse? We have been impressed with MyEclipse DB Explorer, ER
diagram
creator, etc. We now have hot code replace working nice in MyEclipse
which
is a big deal. Again, important factors to us are:

1) Productivity
a. High quality
b. Infrequent crashes
c. Decent performance running WTE or Tomcat
d. Hot code replace
e. JDK currency
2) Standards
3) Price/Value
a. MyEclipse as mentioned is < $30 so it not even a
consideration

Other experiences with Eclipse plug-ins for Web development?
