        I don't think you are correct on this issue, as I've already
proved that I'm able to connect to the website by not
        specifying the full file name in my parameters.

        However, just to satisfy your curiosity I tried pinging to my
proxy server and it connects (no problem there) like
        so..

        "Round-trip (in milliseconds) min/avg/max = 0/10/51."

Agreed. Either you can't get to your proxy server or it can't get to the
URL you are trying to reach. Most likely the former. Have you tried to
ping the proxy server from your iSeries? I predict you won't find it.
