David,

You could use the database monitor in iSeries Navigator, which should
show you selects/commit/rollback statements.

I'm trying to help some non iSeries oriented developers track down a
problem with DB2 400 using JT400.

The problem is: We are issuing an alter table command, but getting a
"Row or table xxxx is in use" error.

I'm 99.9% sure the problem is that we still have a connection open to
the database that is holding a lock on the XXX table when are try to
issue the alter table command.

Any suggestions on how I can prove this and/or identify the
connection?

The operations happen quite fast, so I can't really just monitor the
QZDASOINIT jobs.

Thanks!

david
