for some reasons I've always think that thin + MVC is the way.  I would prefer 
the model is still coded in RPG with java as the view that provided robust UI.  
I just do not see internal user would like it if the UI is coded in HTML/JSP.


Does anybody have any recommandation on book or web-site for what I want to do.

If these are internal users why not write a thick client java application ?  
You could put the code on a networked drive.  This also frees you from the 
restrictions of the Sandbox.
