as I mentioned in my posting before, jBoss runs on as400, if the as400 meeets 
the requirements (JVM version).

that wasn't true for any relase of as400 since it has a jvm implementation.

If your application is J2EE compliant, it will work on any container, but in 
my opinion as400 with WebSphere might be not the best choice.

The deployment descriptors might differ a little bit, depending on container 
and release.
