Hi

I need to zip & un-zip DB2 files on the Iseries.

I don't want to complicate the issue by using Java.

I understand there are simple Iseries commands that allow you to do this:

call gzip parm('-N' '-q' '-9' '/path/file.ext')

It works for a .TXT file on the IFS but not for a database file.

Anybody know how?

Shreya
