QZSHSH spawns 1000's of QZHQSSRV jobs -- JAVA400-L

Since an upgrade to V5R2M0 of OS/400, our batch QZSHSH job has generated 
another job QP0ZSPWP with a function PGM-QJVATJAVA.

Whenever the QZSHSH job (and associated jobs) is used, this starts, 
literally, 1000's of QZHQSSRV jobs in QUSRWRK. This in turn is killing the 
system. The associated jobs are reading data from a data queue.

Does anyone know what's going on and how i can get rid of these jobs.
