If you have PDM and a compiler, you should be able to get WDSc for free,
IIRC. Otherwise it uses Eclipse, you might want to give that a try.

Subject: IDE's, getting started

Hi,

I have been Java'ing for many years. My clients will not allow Java servers
running on their boxes. Therefore my only 400 choice is to run an IDE
connected to my machine(150-v4r5). What IDE's other than Websphere will
allow me to hook to my /400? Websphere seems way too pricey just for the
privilege of using the 400, at least for a single developer. I didn't
research the IBM prices extensively but the studio version was in the 4k
range and I think the client version was in the 2k range, in either case too
much for me just to Java on the 400.

Any ideas or any old/used versions of something available?

Thanks!
