One of things you could do is use jar files, and specifically the Class-Path 
manifest file entry tag. You can either use this entry to 'just define the 
classpath needed' or you can used it as it was really intended and just add 
entries the reflect the dependencies that this particular jar file requires.

Which ever way to do it, you will no longer need 4K of class path values in the 
environment !
