I heard that it is going to be available soon for iSeries. Well here we
have WPS 4.1 Extend running on xSeries 235 with huge RAM but there is a
strange problem going on.. WAS restarts itself on WPS 4.1.2 when we try
to exhasut the connection pooling (to DB2/400)

We tested WPS 4.2 and is stable and no problems now. So I think better
to go for WPS 4.2 or may be for upcoming WPS 5 but that will be bit
long..

Rizwan

Subject: Websphere Portal

Does anyone have an idea of the status of Websphere Portal on the
iSeries? I was pretty sure it was GA but I'll be darned if I remember
seeing exact details. The iSeries Nation chat on 12/5/02 talked about
WPS 4.1 enable for the iSeries but I don't remember any dates. At the
www.iseries.ibm.com/websphere link I found something that listed
websphere branded apps available to the iSeries
(http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/solutions/iseries/pbw/faq.html) but no
joy on WPS. The eServer Solutions application for iSeries does not list
WPS as a portal application available.

I have a project where I'd like to implement WPS Experience but I only
want to do it on the right platform :-) Any thoughts?
