We had the same question for IBM last week and we received the following
the answer:
There are big announcements for WebSphere Portal Server coming in the next
few weeks.  The current version "enable" is available but very expensive.

Our interest is in the "Express" version and it looks like end of 2nd or
3rd quarter.  Since Websphere Portal Server is an EJB, Websphere App server
will be included in the cost of WebSphere Portal.
