Thanks, Blair!

I will check in on the properties issue when we revisit this.  I tried
overriding it with a -Djava.version=1.3, and that didn't work either.
However, it turns out the more pressing problem is that the client isn't up
to date on group PTFs, and so this may just be a phantom PTF issue.  I'm
going to wait for the groups to be applied before I worry more about this.
