AXIS and Web Services

Just heard about Axis recently and read through their web site.  Anyone on this 
using Axis?  Any opinions on using it as a web services platform?  Looks ike a 
good match with Apache & Tomcat.

It seems I *hear* a lot of blow about web services, but I sure am not seeing 
much *action*.  Perhaps 2003 is the year that changes.
