Lets say we have a standard interactive green-screen environment in v5r1
with a small twist: some of the RPG code calls Java using JNI. My
understanding so far is that each interactive job would get its own JVM
(started up the first time each interactive job accesses the RPG code that
uses JNI. This poses a big scaleability issue since we cant have 500 JVMs
floating around.

Is there a way to specify that all the interactive jobs use the same JVM?

If not is there a way to specify which JVM a given interactive job should
attach to? For example, I am wondering if
the RPG JNI function JNI_GetCreatedJavaVMs can return all the JVMs on the
system or just the one attached to the current job?

How have you gotten around this issue?
