Robert,

If you check out this page on my site

http://www.estes-express.com/rpgjavamail/instructions.html

you can see just what you'll need to do to set everything up for calling
Java programs from RPG programs. Take a look at the STRMAIL CL program.
This sets the CLASSPATH.

PS - If you want to fix my lousy Java or RPG code or make any enhancements,

Hi,

I have been using the AS400 and Java separately for 4 years or so now, I
now
want to start using Java on the AS400.

The first project I want to tackle is to write some RPG wrappers for some
Java API. Can somebody point me in the direction of some info about
setting
up the CLASSPATH etc on an AS400 so that I can call Java programs from RPG.

Things like:
    - where do I actually put the Java API(.jar files)
    - how do I then set a class path that an RPG program will recognize

I have some examples of how to call Java from and RPG, I just need to know
how to setup the Java side so I can start messing around.

Can anybody offer any guidance?

Robert
