ok. my fault. i should have used the read method of the class userspace
with the parameters byte array and int . when i convert the byte array
with the class as400bin4 i'm getting the correct result.

thanx anyway for listening/reading.

Betreff: OT: accessing userspace object via jtopen toolbox

hi,

i know that i should have posted this question to the jtopen forum, but
i haven't gotten any answers so far, so i also post it to this mailing
list.

the problem: i created a userspace object in my programm and used the
create method to create one on the as400. then i used the os400 api
QUSLFLD to fill the userspace object with some data. i would like to
retrieve that data. i used the read method of the userspace object and
gotten the format name "FLDL0100" for example. but i have problems
accessing numbers in the userspace object. i get nothing, if i try to
read for example language id. must i convert it in some way to get
usefull data from the userspace object?

thanx in advance.
