Actually the samples are not installed at install time. They are installed
during first start of the the administrative server. This is done by
importing an XMLConfig script.

I think the easiest way to have the samples reinstalled would be to edit
you admin.properties file and set install.initial.config to true. Then
restart your administrative server.

To see the input to XMLConfig for when install.initial.config is true, look
at the following files:
   /QIBM/UserData/WebASAdv4/default/properties/initial_setup.config
   /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv4/properties/Default_Server.wascml
   /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv4/properties/ResourceProviders.xml
   /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv4/bin/ImportSamplesConfigDB2.xml
   /QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv4/bin/ImportSamples.xml

All,

Is there an easy way to reinstall the sample Applications in WAS AE 4.0?
I've tried installing the samples.ear but it's asking for other stuff, like
data sources to be set up first. Is there an automated script I can, to
replicate what would happen at install time?

Thanks,
Chris.
