Hello,
As my knowledge regarding AS400 is quite limited, can you please
confirm the following sentence. It is about Websphere and
connection pools.
When an access to the database is made through the use of the
connection pool, a new job QZDASOINIT is created on the AS400.
If we have two concurrent accesses to the database, the pool uses a
new connection, and a new QZDASOINIT is created on the AS400.
Now if a new connection is required, but there is one available, it
will reuse the existing one, but also reuse an existing QZDASOINIT
job.
So, the number of QZDASOINIT jobs that have been created during
the day only gives an information about the number of concurrent
connection to the database.
