DNS should take care of what you want to do.  Are you running internal DNS
?

DNS resolves names(URL) to IP address.  So internally your url such as
www.myurl.com would resolve to 10.0.0.1 while externally www.myurl.com
would resolve to your public IP address.

I have a link to a webpage which works when accessed from the Internet but
doesn't when accessed from our Intranet.  Problem seems to be the URL
which needs to be linked to the correct IP-adress.  From the Intranet we
need to link it to 10.0.0.1 whereas when used from the Internet it is
another number.

I know we can put a list to choose from but then it's a bit confusing for
our users which doesn't care what the difference between internet and
extranet is...

Is there some way to trace if page is accessed from the internet of from
the Intranet when specific link is clicked ?
