Hi All.

I have jdk13 installed on my 400 (Licensed Program 5722JV1, option 5). I
also have the latest cume installed (including PTF's: SI02233, SI01988,
SI01944, SI01804, SI01683, SI01629, SI01025, SI00959, SI00819, SI00367,
SI00305, SI00291) on a V5R1 machine. Here is the problem.... whenever I
try to run a java program, I receive a java error. The error is in finding
a class. The error is as follows:

Loading class java/security/BasicPermissionCollection.class from
/QIBM/ProdData/Java400/jdk13/lib/rt.jar

java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

I looked at the size of the rt.jar and compared it with the size of the
rt.jar on my windows machine. The size of the rt.jar on the AS/400 is 6.99
meg and the size of rt.jar on the windows machine is 12.51 meg. I copied
the rt.jar from the windows machine to the 400 before making the size
comparison. I also tried to use the rt.jar from the windows machine on the
400 with no luck. Could someone else out there on V5R1 using jdk1.3 check
the size of the rt.jar file? It is located in
/QIBM/ProdData/Java400/jdk13/lib. Anyone else have any ideas on how to
resolve this issue?

Mike
