for a high level overview. If you go to the open source toolkit page and 
download the
latest version. I would tend toward FOP over an IBM specific product. One 
challenge
with FOP is to keep it from eating memory. The main way to do this is to render 
your
report directly using a SAX pipeline so that the whole process happens in 
memory. That
is why I said it is not the easiest. You also cannot do this with FOP .20, you 
have to use
FOP .19 because of a bug.
