Function keys are not recognized for the keypress event, only the keydown
event.  Also, since they often cause other things to happen, you need to
return false in order to stop the event from propagating (and thereby
invoking whatever feature the browser would normally invoke for that
function key).  This, unfortunately, is the part that Netscape seems to have
a problem with.
