We did not see much improvement from 3.0.2 to 3.5. The performance was just
no there. We off-loaded the whole thing onto a Dell Server with WebSphere
3.5 and our application screams now. I would not attempt running your app
on the AS/400 unless you really have a machine with a large CPW. Ours only
had a 210 rating.

Good luck -

We are using WAS 3.0.2

We plan to use WAS 3.5 after the next release of our web functionnalities.

At the moment we sometimes face very poor performances from WAS 3.0.2.
It is worst than a small pentium !!!

I suspect some impact from Entrust, but there might be something different.

Can anybody give me some links or adresses where i can find some good
tuning
information about WAS 3.0.2 on the AS400.

The redbooks doesn't tell a lot about that.

Many people says that WAS 3.5 is superior from far, but i can't admit that
a
powerfull
AS400 has poor results, even if running WAS 3.0.2.

What is your experience about that?
